Bio: Dr. Lugo is a physician with more than 12 years of clinical experience in emergency and urgent care medicine. He is certified by the American Academy of Procedural Medicine in Weight Control, among other professional certifications. His clinical work includes evaluating medical conditions, reviewing medications and relevant laboratory results, and developing individualized treatment plans. Dr. Lugo’s approach to medical weight management incorporates a patient’s medical history, current health conditions, medications, nutrition, physical activity, and treatment goals. When clinically appropriate, he discusses evidence-based weight-management options, including GLP-1 medications, with ongoing follow-up and monitoring. Dr. Lugo is fluent in English and Spanish.
