While my primary practice is in acute care, I have been involved in health & wellness since my teenage years. I have struggled with my weight since I was young & have tried many approaches from traditional diet & exercise, to commercial plans, to medication assisted weight loss. I have experienced weight gain associated with pregnancy & the struggle to lose weight after. My weight was a struggle with hormonal changes as I have gotten older. I realized that each body is unique & as we move through life, what may have worked in the past may not be the solution in the future. I believe there is no one-plan-fits-all, & while many plans may offer immediate results, most clients are looking for a more long-term goal to lose weight, improve their health & gain skills to maintain a healthy weight for themselves.
