Bio: Dr. Jose M. Borrego Acosta is a board-certified physician with extensive international and U.S. medical experience in ophthalmic surgery, family medicine, and emergency medicine. He received his medical education at the University of Buenos Aires and completed graduate medical training at CEMIC, a Baylor-affiliated institution in Argentina. He completed his residency and became an eye surgeon at age 26, later earning board certification and professional recognition in the European Union.
In 2002, Dr. Borrego Acosta relocated to the United States, completing his U.S. residency in 2009 and becoming board-certified through the American Board of Family Medicine. He later completed advanced fellowship training in Emergency Medicine at the University of Oklahoma. He has practiced in Oklahoma and Texas for more than 15 years. Fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, he is committed to providing compassionate, comprehensive care to patients and families.
