Bio: Born & raised in Puerto Rico, I moved to New York City in 2000 to work in medical research at Rockefeller University. Inspired by a researcher, I studied medicine in Guadalajara, Mexico, from 2004 to 2008. After graduating, I returned to Puerto Rico for my Internal Medicine internship & worked for 4 years in Occupational Health & Urgent Care.In 2013, I relocated to Florida, focusing on Correctional & Addiction Medicine & Primary Care for the elderly. The 2014 Ebola epidemic led me to serve as a Medical Officer at the Quarantine Station in Chicago, which sparked my interest in public health. I have since worked with nonprofits addressing the opioid crisis.The COVID-19 pandemic brought me back to Primary Care, where I now serve Latino & underserved communities at Garcia Medical Center & Thorek Hospital in Chicago. I am committed to providing exceptional healthcare and ensuring my patients feel listened to and cared for. Outside of work, I enjoy family time and exploring new cultures.
