Bio: Dr. Eddie Turner earned his BS in Biology from Savannah State University and his MD from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. He completed his Family Medicine Residency at Baylor College of Medicine, followed by a Primary Care Research Fellowship and MPH coursework at UNC–Chapel Hill, and a Health Policy Leadership Fellowship at Morehouse School of Medicine.
He has received multiple honors, including the AMA Foundation Leadership Award, AAFP/Bristol-Myers Squibb Excellence in Graduate Medical Education Award, and Baylor’s Outstanding Resident and House Staff Excellence in Teaching Awards.
Dr. Turner has worked across Emergency, Family, Occupational, and Urgent Care Medicine, with a strong commitment to underserved communities. His focus includes healthy living and weight loss, guided by the belief that “A good doctor treats the disease; a great doctor treats the patient who has the disease.”
