This provider has been in Hawaii since 2003. She is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a strong background on Adult and Obstetric population. She began her nursing career as a member of the Army Nurse Corps. Her areas of clinical experience include high risk pregnancy, mother-baby care, medical–surgical, women gynecological surgical, critical care, telemetry, pediatric and surgical admission center. She teaches for the University of Hawaii in the undergraduate nursing program and in the GEPN pre-licensure program. She grew up in Panama and was raised amid strong nursing examples from her maternal grandmother and aunts. She is fluent in Spanish and believes in mind-body-spirit nursing approach.
