Bio: Melissa is a certified Physician Assistant with a varied medical background. She attended
Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA for Cytotechnology where she learned to
diagnose cancer & disease. However, she had a desire to not only diagnose, but also become an integral part of treatment for patients. She attended Drexel Hahnemann University’s Masters of Health program for Physician Assistants. She has worked in Family Medicine where she assisted patients with their weight loss journeys & understands medical conditions which can benefit significantly from weight loss. Melissa has also worked in Pain Management settings. She understands how injuries, along with chronic pain, can lead to unwanted weight gain. Her background in Psychiatry has helped her gain valuable insight into behaviors & the steps needed to affect positive lifestyle changes. She is committed to helping patients adopt healthy lifestyles & achieve their wellness goals.
